    A wheel of colors is an arbitrary arrangement of colors to show mixture properties. This is where primary, secondary, and tertiary colors enter. The color wheel is used for mixing paint. Paint mixtures are subtractive mixtures.

    Additive mixtures refer to the mixture of light -- as with the rainbow or colored lights.
